Definition of Ready
Criteria
Our Definition of Ready represents the requirements for work to be undertaken by the development team and brought into a sprint.
We should refine stories on a regular basis to bring them in line with this definition, to be brought to Sprint Planning where we can schedule and commit to undertaking the work.
- Acceptance criteria is in place
- The intent of the story and the work involved is understood by the team and/or clearly documented
- The story represents adding value
- Outcome of the story is something deliverable
- The story is broken down into earliest deliverable chunk, as soon as there is value, we should split work up.
- There are no known blockers
